The CFL is a combination of three offices:

  • Office of Mission Integration and Spirituality (OMIS)
  • Campus Ministry (CM)
  • Office for Service and Social Action (OSSA)

In the spirit of Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi, the Center for Franciscan Life nurtures growth in faith and spiritual awareness, advocating for compassionate service to all.

All in the CFL strive to model and inspire love for God, neighbor and self in accord with the Catholic and Franciscan traditions which are the foundation of USF. They encourage and support members of the USF community – especially students – to grow in faith and service to one another and to the wider world.

The three offices of the CFL provide opportunities for students to put faith into action: to “walk the talk” in regard to one’s deeply held beliefs. In addition, the integrated programming of the CFL facilitates exploration of faith traditions and personal values in settings outside the classroom where students can engage each other in matters of faith, serve with peers of different backgrounds and persuasions, or just find a listening heart with whom to connect.
