The Operations Department includes maintenance of all facilities, grounds, and equipment for the entire campus.


The University of Saint Francis supports environmental awareness by encouraging recycling and waste management in its business practices and operating procedures.

This support includes a commitment to the purchase, use and disposal of products and materials in a manner that will best utilize natural resources and minimize any negative impact on the earth’s environment.

Special recycling receptacles have been set up to promote the separation and collection of the following recyclable materials at the university:

  • All paper products (including cardboard, newspapers, magazines, etc.)
  • Aluminum cans and tabs
  • Household batteries
  • Ink and toner cartridges
  • Plastic

Current recycling bin locations for paper, plastic, aluminum cans and pop tabs:

  • Achatz – Vending room just off the atrium.
  • Bonzel –Basement to the right of the stairwell.
  • Clare Hall – Built in recycling centers in lounge on each floor.
  • Padua Hall – Laundry Room.
  • Doermer – Student lounge, faculty and staff lounge basement.
  • Trinity – Mezzanine and lower level (Operations area).
  • Rolland Art Center – By south stairwells on second floor, kitchen and student lounge in lower level.
  • Pope John Paul II Center – Lower level by vending machines, 2nd floor in the main lobby, 3rd floor hall by fire escape stairwell.
