The OSSA connects faith to action by facilitating and coordinating meaningful service and service-learning opportunities for students, faculty and staff. Through established partnerships with nonprofits, the OSSA addresses community needs and social justice issues while helping USF to fulfill its mission of service to local, national and global communities.
Students engaged in class assignments or projects incorporating community service, service learning, or action research should register for service opportunities through the OSSA service registration site. The OSSA registration site also provides information and registration for service opportunities for student clubs, organizations, athletic teams or other groups. Service activities are categorized by community partner agency, area of interest and length of commitment. Students may also elect to sign up for SERV-enews, a one page bi-weekly e-newsletter about upcoming opportunities. A link to sign up can be found on the OSSA homepage.
